Baths has cancelled upcoming tour but WELCOME New Navy, Gloves and Guerre to the música /TUMBALONG Party

música regrets to announce that due to health concerns Will Wiesenfield aka Baths will no longer be playing música /TUMBALONG on October 22 2011

Baths has had to cancel all his upcoming tour commitments which include America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand

In a statement issued to música, Wil Wiesenfield said,"So sad about this. I was looking forward to these shows SO much; I've never been to Japan, Australia, New Zealand or Hawaii... I had to cancel because of some serious stomach issues. They're being resolved, but these issues have affected me enough that I cannot travel or perform for a while. I am making my best efforts to recover as fast (and as safely) as possible, and I will see all of you as soon as I can. Thanks so much for understanding and I will try and make this up as quickly as possible”.

We wish Baths a speedy recovery and look forward to him gracing our shores in the not too distant future.

Ensuring the party still continues in fine form música is very excited to announce three new additions to the event line-up; Future Classic’s latest signing, New Navy, “Aussie Disco Prince” GLOVES and FBi’s ‘Play música Producer/ Band Comp winner, Guerre.

From the 'whistle while you work' opening of 'Zimbabwe', the summer grooves of 'Tapioca' to the dramatic crescendo of 'Oceans', New Navy’s debut ‘Uluwatu’ EP features sparkly guitars with front man Ben McInerny's smooth vocals, delivering strong bass-lines and breezy indie grooves to great effect. With comparisons to Foals, The Whitest Boy Alive and Cold War Kids, New Navy have come a long way since the release of their three-track demo last year, which saw them take out the JD set, hold the number one position on triple J unearthed charts and share stages with some of Australia’s mot prestigious bands - The Philly J's, Midnight Juggernaughts, The Holidays and The Scare.

GLOVES the “Aussie Disco Prince” holds a list of dance-til-you-drop-dead accolades that is turning heads all over the world. In the past two years GLOVES has lent his remixing skills to everyone that dared to stand near him including Bag raiders, Golden Bug, Cut Copy, Van She and Operator Please. He has headlined alongside acts such as The Gossip, Midnight Juggernauts, M83, Aeroplane, Danger and Architecture in Helsinki just to name a few.

Guerre’s music has been labelled everything from neo soul, avant ghetto to lo-fi R&B. He beautifully weaves ambient synth sounds and dark droning beats with his soothing falsetto. His appearance on the track 'Boyfriend' by fellow Sydneysider's Fishing in late 2010 earned him a bunch of fans early on, but it's his debut video performance of the single 'River Hymnal' that's been creating waves all over the world wide web. Over the last couple of months Guerre's been performing live around Sydney and headed off overseas which saw him play at C/O Pop Festival in Cologne alongside Gold Panda, Janelle Monae, Tom Vek, Owen Pallet. A real buzz is growing around his incredibly unique and spine tingling performances and música /TUMBALONG is incredibly excited to have him as part of our event.
